Department is the backbone of Health Care Facility being a polyvalent professional service provider, as it cuts across all the clinical service units and or departments in the hospital. The overall objective is to ensure a safe therapeutic environment to provide an efficient and sufficient Nursing care to all clients and patients in attendance towards promotion of health, prevention of diseases and alleviation of sufferings. The department has an organized administrative organogram from the directorate level down to the Nursing officer cadre (N.O. II) as contained in our professional hierarchy and the scheme of service of the federal establishment – The federal civil service of Nigeria for career progression. There are Thirty-Three (33) units covering all aspects of Nursing care and management of clients/patients including nursing specialists, supervised by most senior and experienced nurses as ‘Unit Managers.’
